Lord Jesus, bless the hungry souls who brave the seas of our illusions to behold what we avoid seeing with all our hearts. What painful joy they feel on the lonely paths they walk. Give them your light, your courage and steadfastness. Don’t let them lose heart. Save them from fear. Save them from the crowd. Save them from the sneers of the religious types who embrace the dark in your name. Give their wives and husbands freedom to encourage. Fire them with the Spirit of adoption. Never let them lose hope. Our future follows their dreams.
